Completion of the Open Budget Survey 2010 on behalf of the International Budget Partnership of Center on Budget and Policy Priorities
The Open Budget initiative is a group of NGO’s, which evaluates the transparency of the budget drafting in a two-year interval. The next publication date is planned for fall 2010 and will include data from around 90 countries. In this context on behalf of the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (Washington D.C.), the FiFo examines the transparency of the federal budgeting in Germany. Based on a predetermined list of questions detailed data on budget disclosure is collected for the creation of an index that allows a cross-country comparison. Insights regarding the transparency of budgeting in different countries as well as the identification of possible reform measures are enabled.
